The Start of Not Your Orange Chikin



I am very, very happy to let you all know that I’m on my way to successfully completing on of the goals that I’ve set for myself this summer. Sundays in the Jiang house are waking up well past nine, eating a light lunch, lounging around the house, and preparing a larger dinner. Today since my dad challenged me to see what I could do with a cup of mangoes that were beginning to become overripe, I decided to play around with a couple ingredients we had at home and make a brown rice salad with fruit, shrimp, and avocado. Halfway through making the dish I thought to myself, “Hey! This would be the perfect time to start on that food blog project that I said I wanted to do this summer!” So here it is, even though I’m still working out a few kinks in the webpage and figuring out how I want to style the page, here’s the first recipe/post of Not Your Orange Chikin. I’d love for you to take a look! 🙂
